Los Blancos suffered yet another loss, this time at the hands of Athletic Bilbao. This first half of the season, so far, is nothing like last year. In fact, the team is just not looking like most people expected.
Mbappe himself, the player who was said to help the club dominate for years to come, has taken too long adjusting to the new environment and his performances have so far been subpar. Yesterday, he missed another penalty, while the team was trailing. What’s opposite of clutch? Of course, he did make a statement of intent post-match, but it remains to be seen whether he will quickly get back to his feared world-beater form. Get your game on soon, Kylian. We need you.
Errors (from) Where you Least Expect them
When I saw that horrendous error by Fede, I just gave up. It’s extremely rare to see and it came at a pretty bad moment. The man leaves everything on the pitch. Not too worried about this man though, he’ll recover quickly.
Fede Valverde has played 279 games with Real Madrid and Athletic Club’s second goal was the first time he had an error leading to goal.
