Submissions are invited for Chapters for the Edited Book Titled “Transgender and Law: from International and National Perspectives”.

The editors/ authors, (Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Virk, Prof. (Dr.) Aman Amrit Cheema, Mrs. Homa Bansal), extend a cordial invitation for submissions of research papers/ chapters from global academics and professionals for their upcoming book centered around the specified theme. Interested individuals are kindly requested to submit the title of their research paper/ chapter, accompanied by a concise biodata, no later than December 25, 2023.

Chapters

  • Part 1- Generalities
  • Part 2- Anxieties and Concerns: Critical Areas for Transgender.
  • Part 3- Pink or Blue: Soundless Quarters of Trans Children and Youth
  • Part 4- Democratisation of Transgenderism in India: A Comparative Analysis of The Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019.

Submission Guidelines

  • 1.The length of full paper/chapter including diagrams, tables, illustrations, references, etc. should be 3000-8000 words. The paper should be typed in Times New Roman, font size 12 with 1.5 line spacing.
  • Headings:
    • Article Title : 14 Font , Capital , Bold
    • Heading (1.1) – 12 Font , Capital , Bold.
    • Sub-heading (1.1.1)- 12 Font , Small , Bold
    • Sub-heading (1.1.1.1) – 12 Font , Small , Bold, Italics
    • Sub- heading (1.1.1.1.1) 12 font , Small, Italics
  • The footnotes must be typed in Times New Roman, font size 10 with single spacing. The margin of 1 inch on all sides must be maintained throughout the paper.
  • Submission of final manuscript shall include –
    • Chapter Title, Subtitle (if needed), Authors, Affiliation, keywords
    • All figures (include relevant captions)
    • All tables (including titles, description, footnotes)
    • Ensure all figure and table citations in the text match the files provided
    • Indicate clearly if colour should be used for any figures in print
    • Graphical Abstracts / Highlights files (where applicable)
    • Supplemental files (where applicable) Permission has been obtained for use   of copyrighted material from other sources (including the Internet)
  • ILI citation style shall be strictly followed for footnoting. Do not mention references, only footnoting will be considered.
  • Research papers/ chapters with less than 10% plagiarism and good quality will only be considered for publication.
  • For any chapter, only the best paper received shall be published.
  • No remuneration shall be paid to the contributors by the authors or publishing house.

How to Submit?

The full paper/chapter should be submitted in soft copy and shall be sent to [email protected] with the subject line “Full Paper/chapter for Edited Book” along with the certificate of originality duly filled by the presenter(s). All submissions should be sent in .doc/.docx format only.

Important dates

  • Last date for abstract submission: 30th December, 2023.
  • Deadline for full chapter submission- 15th January 2024
