NEW DELHI: HDFC Bank(Rs. 3097.23 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1806.73 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 1746.39 crore), Vodafone Idea(Rs. 1711.46 crore), RIL(Rs. 1478.96 crore), Infosys(Rs. 1428.23 crore), SBI(Rs. 1266.38 crore), Power Finance Corp.(Rs. 1153.27 crore), Hind Const Co(Rs. 1133.91 crore) and Titagarh Wagons(Rs. 1092.44 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 58.11 points up at 23322.95, while BSE Sensex rose 149.98 points to 76606.57.
In the Nifty index, Coal India Ltd.(up 2.60 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 2.56 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 1.94 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.73 per cent) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.57 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.70 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 1.43 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 1.09 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 0.97 per cent) and Titan Company Ltd.(down 0.84 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
