Arda Güler will start Turkey’s all-important game vs Czech Republic in their final group game of Euro 2024 on Wednesday.
Güler, who was named on the bench in Turkey’s 3-0 defeat to Portugal, makes his way back after an apparent injury that forced Turkey’s coach Vincenzo Montella to rest the star after a match-winning performance vs Georgia.
Güler came off the bench against Portugal, and everyone could see the difference he was making as Turkey started getting more of the ball and started creating more chances.
Real Madrid’s wonderboy now returns to the starting lineup to make sure his team goes through, with a positive result being all that is needed. If Turkey win or draw the game, they will finish second. If they lose, and Georgia fail to win, they will go in as the third-placed team as long as they do not lose by three goals or more. A lot has to go wrong for Turkey to miss out on the knockout stages, and we will see what happens as the other game — Portugal vs Georgia — will be played at the same time.
