About
The Constitutional Law Society, Government Law College (GLC), Mumbai is a student body that aims to promote discourse on constitutional law and philosophy. The GLC Constitutional Law Blog is an attempt from Asia’s oldest law college at providing students of law and professionals alike, with an opportunity to express themselves on the discipline.
The blog is the first of the publications that we hope to run. We are open to rolling submissions beginning 20th July, 2024. All submissions will go through a double-blind peer-review process.
Submission Guidelines
- Submissions are invited in the following formats.
- Articles: These must be analytical pieces on topics bearing reasonable connection to constitutional law.We encourage submissions with inter-disciplinary perspectives.
- Case Comments: These must contain analyses of recent court judgements and their impact on the development of constitutional law. Comments on cases from foreign jurisdictions are welcome and encouraged. Any association with the subject case(s) must be declared.
- Legislation Reviews: These must contain analysis of legislation or executive action (from India or elsewhere) through the prism of constitutional law.
- Submissions must be MS Word documents and must be mailed to [email protected]. They must be between 1500-2500 words long. Multi part submissions are welcome and encouraged.
- The text must be in Times New Roman, size 12, with vertical spacing of 1.5 units
- All kinds of submissions must contain a reasonable amount of opinion and analysis. Wholly descriptive submissions will be rejected.
- All sources must be hyperlinked in the text. Where sources are not freely available online, endnotes must be used.
- The submission should be an original work of the author. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is strictly prohibited. Plagiarised and AI – assisted submissions will be instantly discarded.
- Co-authorship of up to two authors is allowed.
- There are no formal limitations on whom the blog accepts submissions from. However – and to reiterate – please keep in mind that we expect a reasonable amount of legal opinion and analysis.
- The email subject template is “Submission – Name”. In the body of the mail, please mention briefly, how you would like to be acknowledged on the blog. For ex. “_, 3rd Year Student at NLU Jodhpur”.
- Please make sure that there are no personal identifiers in the submission file. These are to be strictly confined to the body of the mail.
Authors will receive an acknowledgement of receipt within 24 hours of making the submission. Submissions will be processed as quickly as possible, to the best our ability. The blog and all other details are available at clsglcmumbai.com.
