Shares of Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 3.01 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 0.51 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 0.28 per cent), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.24 per cent) and Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 0.02 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Granules India Ltd.(down 2.52 per cent), Sanofi India Ltd.(down 2.38 per cent), J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 2.33 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 2.04 per cent) and Abbott India Ltd.(down 0.9 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.16 per cent down at 23220.4.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 122.65 points at 24918.45, while the BSE Sensex stood down 398.13 points at 81523.16.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 12 ended in the green, while 38 closed in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Zomato, Suzlon Energy and Prism Johnson were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Archidply Decor, Dhunseri Invst, Suraj Ltd, Emmbi Industries and Sandesh Ltd hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Globale Tessile, Andhra Paper, Stampede Cap(DVR), Future Supply Chain and Vikas Multicorp hit their fresh 52-week lows.
