What are some good things about your law college?

Law school provides numerous benefits and opportunities for students, and ours is no exception. Our law college boasts excellent infrastructure and a well-equipped library.

We have supportive faculties who serve as valuable mentors for internships and moot court competitions.

Additionally, our strong alumni network contributes to the law college’s reputation. The quality of teaching is commendable, and our law college excels in organizing events.

While every institution has its shortcomings, these can be overlooked considering the many positive aspects our university offers.

Are there any bad things about your law college?

Like any institution, our college has its drawbacks, with the administration being a significant concern. The administrative staff is often uncooperative and student’s complaints are frequently disregarded.

Additionally, there is a lack of funding for organizing events, which hinders our ability to host activities that could enhance the student experience. These administrative shortcomings have resulted in our college ranking low in certain parameters.

Despite the many strengths of our institution, the inefficiencies in administration present a notable challenge that impacts the overall satisfaction and opportunities available to students.

How has your experience in your university been till now?

Law school is an exciting and enriching experience that teaches you how to balance work and life effectively. It fosters multitasking skills as you juggle preparing for moots, exams and other responsibilities simultaneously.

The exposure you receive is invaluable, contributing significantly to your personal and professional growth. My journey so far has been extremely positive and I have noticed a remarkable transformation in my personality.

I have evolved into a completely different person, more adept and confident. The journey of a law professional truly begins at university, where you lay the foundation for your future career.

How’s the faculty at your law college?

Both teaching and non-teaching faculty play crucial roles at our law school. The quality of our teaching faculty is mixed; while some instructors are excellent, others are below average. The teaching methods employed are not the traditional ones typically followed by universities.

Instead, each faculty member adopts their own innovative approach to instruction. This diversity in teaching styles can be beneficial, providing students with a range of perspectives and methodologies. However, it also means that the quality of education can vary significantly depending on the instructor.

Overall, the faculty’s innovative approaches offer a unique learning experience, despite the variability in teaching quality.

How’s the infrastructure of your law college?

Our college boasts good infrastructure, including a well-equipped library with ample seating space. However, we face some shortcomings in medical facilities, which are inadequate and need improvement.

Additionally, the sports infrastructure is lacking, limiting opportunities for students to engage in physical activities. On a positive note, both our hostel and administrative buildings are well-maintained and provide a comfortable environment for students and staff.

Overall, while there are areas that need attention, the college offers a solid foundation with its existing facilities.

How are your peers?

Peers are generally good, though many are highly competitive. Support from peers is
minimal, as everyone is focused on outdoing each other. While they encourage participation,
they stop short of helping one another succeed in competitions.

How are the placements in your law college?

Our college struggles with placements. Although the teachers have valuable connections, they rarely utilize them. As a result, students are seldom placed through university efforts. Most secure positions independently or through pre-placement offers (PPOs).

Additionally, few law firms visit our campus, and our weak alumni network further hinders placement
opportunities.

How are the co-curricular activities in your law college?

Co-curricular activities in law colleges significantly shape students’ experiences and can enhance their law school applications. These activities include law-related pursuits such as mock trials, public speaking, political activism, and internships in law or police work.

Moreover, service activities, research and writing, substantial time commitments and opportunities to develop leadership and teamwork skills are highly valued for law school applications.

Our college excels in offering a diverse range of co-curricular activities, providing students with ample opportunities to enrich their academic and professional profiles.

What are some of the things you’d advise to a 1st-year law student?

Be patient, even if the environment becomes challenging or toxic at times. Stay calm and focus on learning from every experience you encounter in college. Make the most of your first year, which is an opportunity for fun, learning, and socializing.

With fewer academic pressures and more free time, it’s a great chance to invest in your personal development. Use this period to explore new interests, build connections, and enhance your skills.
