But we can’t celebrate as we’ll have three new injuries, including Militao with another ACL tear. It’s astonishing he had ACL tears in two consecutive seasons.
It’s up to be seen how we’ll line-up vs Liverpool in the return of the break especially without Militão and Tchouameni, who has covered in CB when needed. Maybe we’ll go with a defensive line of Valverde, Rudiger, Mendy and Fran Garcia. Marca is already reporting that Valverde is the RB option right now.
Bad squad planning
Imagine thinking it was okay to start the season with 2 CBs, I’ve never seen this type of bad planning from any other club. Everyone knew this was a bad idea and it was going to cost us. Absolutely horrendous squad planning.

Will the club sign a CB now?
Do you who is a free agent, right now, don’t you? Yes, he, El Capitan; the legendary Sergio Ramos. La Liga allows emergency signing, when a transfer is allowed to cover for player with a long-term injury. The rule allows to sign anyone from another La Liga club or a free-agent player from Spain.
But the club will wait until January. Per AS, the favorite is Laporte. I just hope the club don’t make the same mistake twice and go for another 1⁄2 season with only two CBs lol.
