Los Blancos currently have Eder Militao, Antonio Rudiger, and Jesus Vallejo as their senior center-back options. David Alaba, a crucial figure in the squad, is sidelined with a serious ACL injury and is expected to miss the first half of the season. To compensate, midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni can be deployed in defense if needed, while Vallejo offers additional depth against smaller opposition.
While the club acknowledges the possibility of unexpected opportunities emerging in the transfer market — similar to the surprise signing of Eduardo Camavinga three years ago — a defensive reinforcement is not considered a priority at this time. Real Madrid remains confident in its ability to compete for all titles with the current squad.
