UEFA have appointed French referee François Letexier as the man in charge of Wednesday’s match between Liverpool and Real Madrid in the Champions League.

François Letexier will referee the Champions League matchday 5 fixture between Real Madrid and Liverpool at Anfield (Wednesday, 9pm CET). The French official will be in charge of Real Madrid for the fourth time in a match in the top continental competition.

-Real Madrid 3-3 Manchester City (first leg of quarter-final 2023/24).
-Real Madrid 4-2 Napoli (Matchday 5, Group Stage 2023/24)

Letexier will play a very important role in this game, as both teams will be expected to play with intensity and physicality. However, the Frenchman has experience overseeing elite football and he should be trusted to perform at a high level.
