NEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Syrma SGS Technology(up 19.20%) and Hindustan Motor(up 16.77%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 374.62 points up at 76276.03, while the 50-share index, NSE was 124.91 points up at 23082.15.
In the Nifty50 index, 36 stocks traded in the green, while 14 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Ind-Agiv Comm, Naturite Agro Products, Dhanlaxmi Cotex, First Custodian and JK Cement hit their fresh 52-week high, while Shree Pacetronix, VJTF Eduservice, Dhruva Capital, ideaForge Technology and Sharda Ispat touched their new 52-week low during the session.
