Stunning 'tidal tree' patterns on Qiantang River

Giant “tidal tree” patterns have recently appeared on the Qiantang River in east China. The natural phenomenon of forest patterns forming on the mudflats is a result of the rise and fall of the Qiantang River tides. The Qiantang River, which has one of the world’s largest tidal bores, attracts thousands of tourists every year.
