Lucas Vazquez, who has been a mainstay in this Real Madrid squad for the last eight years, has officially renewed his contract till 2025, which is good news for the club. Vazquez is coming off of potentially his best season as a football player, and is that kind of a player who you need in your squad.
Speaking to Real Madrid TV after the renewal was announced on Friday, Vazquez talked about a lot of things, from Kylian Mbappé’s arrival to becoming one of the four captains of the squad. Speaking about the latter, he said: “It’s beautiful, really special. To be among that group of four captains helps to consolidate all the years I’ve been in the squad. I’m going to try and help the team continue on this winning streak.”

“Kylian is a special player, the kind who was born to play for Real Madrid. We’ve got an exciting year ahead of us. We’re adding an immense talent to what was already here in Vini Jr., Rodrygo, Jude… All the lads we’ve got at the top end of the pitch. To have Mbappé here is amazing, and we’re going to enjoy watching him play this season and, of course, win lots of titles.”
