Real Madrid defender Eder Militao has made significant strides towards recovery and now is expected to start against Real Sociedad on Saturday, according to a report from Relevo.

Militao was ruled out for around 10 days after getting injured during the FIFA international break. It was reported to be a thigh injury that would’ve kept him out of the Real Sociedad game, but now, according to recent reports, Militao should be able to start alongside Antonio Rudiger at Anoeta.

Real Madrid had been facing a sort of an injury ‘crisis’, with a bunch of their players out due to some injury or the other. Thankfully, most of the players who have been sidelined in the last few weeks just have short-term injuries, which is why Militao will reportedly be able to make his return. He completed part of the training session with the rest of the team.

Militao has had a few great performances lately, finally shaking off the cobwebs from his injury last season, and finally looks like the Militao of old. Having him back in the squad is key, especially due to the thin depth chart that Real Madrid have at centre-back.
