Real Madrid Castilla star Nico Paz is close to leaving the club on loan to Leganés, according to MARCA.
It was expected that Paz would leave Castilla at some point due to his exceptional qualities as a footballer at a Castilla side that is currently in transition. At only 19 years of age, he was the focal point for this Castilla side, and it became clear that he wouldn’t stay there for long.
Due to limited places for him in the first team, Paz had to look for a loan, and according to the report, it could be a loan to Leganés, who gained promotion to La Liga after their first Segunda title.
Leganés’ sporting director had conversations with both Atletico and Real Madrid about potential loan deals, and Paz was a player discussed, and it is a deal that works for all parties involved: Paz gets first-division minutes, Leganés get a talented player for a season, and Real Madrid gets him back next season.
It remains to be seen when the deal is completed, but the operation to sign Paz seems to be underway for Leganés.
